Wild rice with soy sauce

Rice with soy sauce is great as a side dish for many of our recipes. It's tasty and it can be made from most kinds of rice - white, brown, wild, etc. For the recipe here we used wild rice, an onion, soy sauce and spices.

Start by chopping an onion (minced). Am inceput prin a taia ceapa solzisori. Heat a bit of olive oil and saute the onions in it. When the onion starts going golden-brown, add the rice. Stir for 4 to 5 minutes until the rice begins to change its color. Spice it up (we used salt and pepper) and pour some water over. You need about 3 times more water than the rice.
When the water is reduced taste the rice to check if it's done. If it's still hard add a bit more water (half a glass should be enough), and let it boil down again.
When all the water is gone add a few spoons of soy sauce (unsalted - preferably) and stir for 2 to 3 minutes. If you don't have unsalted soy sauce don't add any more salt when adding spices.
We've served the rice with Sweet and Flavored Pork.
Enjoy!

Ingredients:
1 onion;
1 cup of rice (we used wild rice);
50ml olive oil;
3 cups of water;
4-5 table spoons of soy sauce;
spices; we used just salt and pepper but you can add ground ginger or chilli - to your taste.
